Important Notice to Landowners

Each owner of land in the Parish has been served with a notice requiring the return of details for all land, houses, buildings, and other structures owned as at 1 January 2026.

All completed forms were due by 15 January 2026.

Any forms that are currently recorded as not returned will shortly be referred for a Parish Hall enquiry, which may result in a fine of up to £1,000.

ELECTORAL ASSEMBLY

In accordance with Article 19 of the Public Elections (Jersey) Law, A parish of St Brélade nomination meeting will be held at St Brélade’s Parish Hall on Tuesday 31 October 2023 at 7.00 pm for the following business:

To elect one Centenier to complete a term of office which expires in December 2026.

A nomination form for each candidate must be produced to the meeting and must be completed by a proposer and 9 seconders who are electors in the parish.

In this election:

If there are more candidates than vacancies, a poll will be held on Wednesday 13 December 2023. If there are not more candidates than vacancies any duly nominated candidate will be declared elected at the nomination meeting.

To vote in this election you must be registered by midday on the day before the nomination meeting.

PARISH ASSEMBLY

An Assembly of the Principals and Electors of the Parish of St Brélade will be held at the Parish Hall, St Brélade on Tuesday 31 October 2023 at 7.15 pm for the following business:

  1. Approve and adopt the Act of the Parish Assembly held on 26 September 2023*.
  2. Elect one Officier du Connétable for the Vingtaine des Quennevais.
  3. To vote a sum not to exceed £10,000 from the office equipment reserve account in order to purchase computer and hardware equipment for the Parish main office.

*Copies of the draft Act of the Assembly held on 26 September 2023 are available on the Parish Website or to collect from the Parish Hall during normal office hours.
