Maison St Brelade

About the Care Home

Maison St. Brelade is a well-established care home which is owned and run by the Parish of St. Brelade. Maison St. Brelade officially opened in 1977 and due to its popularity undertook a small extension in 1978 to cater for its ever-growing demand. An extension was undertaken and completed in 2014 to improve and secure the facilities for the future with a full renewal of all living and communal areas. The goal being to enhance the comfort and well-being of the residents.  The management team and all staff, from carers to kitchen and domestics take immense pride in having gained an excellent reputation within Jersey and constantly strive to maintain our high standards and quality care.   The home is set in its own large and beautifully landscaped grounds and provides single storey modern accommodation. It is located in the west of the Island of Jersey ideally situated within close proximity to local shops, a garden centre, bus routes, churches, community centre, rugby club and bowling centre, golf resort, designated walking routes leading south and west of the island, opticians, sports facilities and the airport.    There are a total of 52 single rooms all en-suite and 2 respite rooms, all tastefully furnished. 16 of these rooms are fitted with overhead ceiling hoisting equipment for individuals with greater care needs. All rooms have TV and internet points, as well as access to our dedicated telephone system.   There are 3 communal lounges, 1 large dining room, shop, hairdressing salon, chiropody facilities, 3 kitchenettes, 1 assisted dining room and 2 communal bathrooms all with specialist baths to allow easy access and comfortable bathing.   The Home is surrounded by extensive and accessible landscaped gardens with a greenhouse and raised plant beds, along with seating facilities.  The courtyard has pergolas and a water feature which provides an additional relaxation area. Our surrounding gardens, courtyard and pathways provide a wonderful, colourful and peaceful space for people to enjoy outside dining when weather permits or to sit and observe the local wildlife.   The large Communal space both inside and outside of the Home allows for easy wheelchair access.
