Jersey Royal Potato growing competition 2025

Yesterday we had our annual Potato growing competition, hosted at Maison St Brelade and judged by our Connétable Mike.🏆

A special thanks to Genuine Jersey who supplied the potato growing kits back in February and to our very own Caroline from The Parish Hall for kindly organising this fun event. Thankyou to the ladies at Maison St Brelade for making the winning rosettes and for the tea & cake for everyone.

Thankyou to everyone who registered for the competition, and who spent months putting in a great deal of effort preparing them for yesterdays final.

The sun was shining and everyone who joined us had a lovely time watching Mike get his hands dirty!

The joint winners were Stan Le Pennec who won with 18 potatoes and a weight of 400 grams and his sister Dorothy Haire with 12 potatoes and a weight of 580 grams, well done to you both 👏👏👏
