About the Honorary PoliceEntouor la Police Honorifique

The Honorary Police provide an essential and valuable service to the Parish and community in which we live.

Each Parish has its own Honorary Police officers who are volunteers from all walks of life. Many work full time and also serve in the Honorary Police with the encouragement and support of their employer.

Honorary Police officers are elected by parishioners as Centeniers, Vingteniers or Constable’s Officers.

Supporting your Parish Honorary Police benefits –

  • you – broaden your skills, discover new interests and learn “on the job” as you assist people in their hour of need;
  • your business – problem solving, decision making, team building, leadership and responsibility skills and training are all transferable to the workplace;
  • your community – help to maintain law and order in your Parish and community.
